We have taken the idea of the ordinary cutting board and taken it a step further. The majority of boards found in the marketplace are factory made from one or two types of wood. Ours are hand crafted from a multitude of domestic and imported hardwood. The timely process is well worth it. The response we have gotten is very encouraging.

After speaking with people that have either purchased or been given these as gifts we have found that the boards posses multiple uses. Some of our clients have used the boards as wall hangings, serving trays, wine and cheese boards and kitchen décor. We like to think of it as art in the kitchen.

All of the wood we use is hand picked and milled or cut to size. The pattern is arranged, glued and clamped for twenty-four hours. The rough board is then run through a plainer to smooth and even out the wood. At this point, there is a round edge routed around the board. There is a lengthy sanding process that starts with a sanding belt and ends with 400 wet and dry grit. The board is wiped down with a tack rag to ensure all dust is gone. At this point, the non-toxic butcher block finish is applied to enhance the woods true beauty. Three coats on the top and two on the bottom.
